Premchand (* 31. Juli 1880 im Dorf Lamahi bei Varanasi; † 8. Oktober 1936 in Varanasi) ist das Pseudonym des indischen Schriftstellers Dhanpat Rai Shrivastav. Er war einer der bedeutendsten Autoren im Sprachraum des Hindi, sowie der modernen indischen Literatur überhaupt.
