José Protacio Mercado Rizal y Alonso Realonda (* 19. Juni 1861 in Calamba City auf Luzon; † 30. Dezember 1896 in Manila) war ein philippinischer Schriftsteller, Arzt und Kritiker des Kolonialismus. Auf den Philippinen wird er als Nationalheld (pambansang bayani) verehrt und sein Andenken am 30. Dezember (Rizal Day), dem Jahrestag seiner Hinrichtung durch die spanische Kolonialregierung, offiziell gefeiert.
