Man sagt, dass die Zeit alle Wunden heilt, und vielleicht stimmt das (...) Aber was ist, wenn die Wunden nicht richtig heilen , so wie Schnitte fiese Narben hinterlassen oder gebrochene Knochen zwar wieder zusammenwachsen, aber nicht mehr beweglich sind? (...) Heisst das, dass sie trotzdem geheilt sind? Oder hat sich der Körper nur alle Mühe gegeben, wieder hinzukriegen, was gebrochen war...

Manchmal frage ich mich, ob man Erinnerungen, mit denen man nichts zu tun haben will, nicht einfach blockieren kann: die Bilder wegsperren, den Schmerz betäuben, der mit dem verbunden ist, was man gesehen hat und nicht sehen wollte. Und das so lange, bis die Person, die man einmal war selbst nur noch eine schwache Erinnerung ist.
